Building a Stronger Community: A Welfare and Resilience Center for Beit Shemesh Residents
As a large and rapidly growing city facing complex social, economic, and security-related challenges, Beit Shemesh has a significant need for professional, accessible, and respectful support for individuals and families-both during times of crisis and in everyday life.
In partnership with the Municipality of Beit Shemesh and the municipal Welfare Department, Keren Shemesh is supporting the establishment of a citywide Welfare and Resilience Center. The center will bring together, under one roof, therapeutic services, emotional support, family guidance, emergency response, and programs designed to strengthen personal and community resilience.
The center is expected to serve thousands of residents each year, including children and teenagers, families in distress, trauma survivors, and others in need of professional support. More than half of the project’s total cost has already been raised. We are now inviting additional partners to join us in ensuring that every resident of Beit Shemesh has access to a safe, professional, and welcoming place where they can receive support, regain strength, and rebuild their future.
